Motel 6 San Diego Has Newly Refurbished Rooms
My friends and I stayed in the Motel 6 in Downtown San Diego during our last trip to the area. We chose this motel because of the lodging discount codes that they offer, yet it supposedly offers all the services and amenities we would need. Also, it is located at the heart of the city, making it convenient for us.When we arrived at the motel, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that there was no parking lot fee for motel guests, even thought the parking area looked clean and secure. The motel front desk staff was very polite, and was able to process our reservations very quickly. She also honored our Motel 6 coupons, so that was good.
We were led to a small, but clean room that had all the usual motel amenities and more. The room was newly refurbished, and it had this huge comfortable bed tempting us to sleep on it. Likewise, there was a brand new flat screen television installed in our room for our viewing pleasure. Moreover, there was a nice seating area, where we sat down in and relaxed for a while.

That afternoon we spent walking around and shopping in the nearby shops. We also had an afternoon walk along the harbor that had a picturesque view of the seaside. After the sun set, we headed towards the Gaslamp District only around a 10 minute walk away. There we ate a hearty dinner, and had a few rounds of drinks.The next day, we spent in Sea World San Diego, which was the main purpose of our trip. We had fun watching the animal shows and got splashed by Shamu the Whale. Afterwards, we headed back to the hotel and freshened up in our small, but clean hotel bathrooms. The hotel staff was very polite throughout our stay, always greeting us when we passed by them along the hallways.
I would definitely recommend this motel to anyone who isn’t too particular about the number of stars an accommodation has, but rather the quality of service it provides.
